Life at the top was a mixed bag for Keith Arthurton. He was a dashing left-hander and an outstanding cover fielder He was also a good bowler but his lack of consistency meant that he was often in and out of the team.
Left-arm spinner Keith Arthurton struck vital blows to break the backbone of Pakistan batting as West Indies scored a fine 30-run win in the last quarter-final of the Wills International Cup Cricket.  Arthurton claimed the crucial wickets of the top-scorer helped by a fine performance by the West Indies bowlers. When Arthurton was on form there was no stopping him. He was a regular feature in the ODI team of the 90s. He played 105 ODIs batting almost 2000 runs and taking 42 wickets.
