We learned a lot on our trail but of course our minds were set on what we were going to see at the end of our relatively short walk, the waterfall. We reached the base of the Argyle waterfalls and were met with the most magnificent site. Our guide gave us the opportunity to explore and bathe, whilst she waited to take us back. However, we decided we wanted to explore a little further and so we told our guide, we would make our own way back. We clambered up the slippery rocks and slowly and carefully made our way up the different levels of the waterfall. Every so often we stopped to admire the views below and bathe in the pools and under the falling water showers. The views were absolutely magnificent and climbing the waterfall rocks, having to figure out the best route to climb was such a thrill. We decided to go at it barefoot and its advisable to carry minimal possessions. The views and photo opportunities are well worth the climb. Having climbed as far as we felt we safely could, we made our way back down the waterfall and walked back to the starting point of the trail.

We had a wonderfully interesting day. Be prepared though, we were truly exhausted by the time we made it back to our hotel. However we were full of new knowledge and an abundance of breath-taking scenic pictures to take home.
